How Does It Work?

The Free Self-Study Course sounds pretty good, why do I need a coach? The Free Self-Study course is good, in fact, it's a great resource for you. The thing that is missing is the objective assessment of your skills. For instance, what if our school system went to a format where each student taught themselves and was responsible for grading their own work? Do you think they would work as hard or learn as much? Some would do fine, but many would fall short of their potential.
With a coach, you are going to hear exactly how you are improving, or not improving. You will also receive specific instructions for how to improve the areas in which you need additional help. A self-study program can't tell you what you're good at - our coaches can.

Interview Needs Assessment Session |
Upon signup, we will schedule a short call to discuss your interview needs. This will help us get to know you and tailor our coaching sessions to your specific needs. This will help ensure that we provide the best coaching possible. |
Positioning Statement Coaching Session |
After Lesson 4, we will schedule a coaching session to work on your Positioning Statement and how to tailor this to your elevator speech and Tell Me About Yourself answer. This session will help you differentiate yourself from other job seekers.

STAR(L) Coaching Session |
After Lesson 8, we will schedule a coaching session to review your first two STAR(L) answers. The STAR(L) is a technique you will learn and mastering this technique is one of the most significant tools you will take away from this course.

First Practice Interview |
After Lesson 12, we will schedule your first practice interview and assess your progress. In this interview, we will focus on your experience, skills and communications skills. Practice is an integral element in the Personalized Coaching Program and will help you improve faster.

Second Practice Interview |
After Lesson 16, we will schedule your second practice interview. In this interview, we will focus on Career Goals, Company/Industry Knowledge and your Career Progression, with a review of your experience, skills and communications skills. This interview will help you continue to practice and improve the skills you have been learning.

Third Practice Interview |
After Lesson 20, we will schedule your third practice interview. This interview will cover all of the types of questions covered from Lessons 10 through 20. The third interview is designed to put you through your paces. It's longer than the other two interviews and will test your mastery of each element we have taught. Not only will it help us assess your improvement, but the experience will prepare you for challenging interviews in your search.

| Course Review Coaching Session | After Lesson 25, we will schedule our final coaching session to discuss your progress in the course. We will answer questions you may have. We will also provide ideas for how you can continue to improve your interview skills going in the future. |
| Unlimited Email Answers for 60 Days | You may have questions during the course or think of them afterwards. We will be there to help you. When you signup for the Coaching Program, you will be given an email hotline. This is an email address used exclusively for our Personalized Coaching Program clients. Just email us a question during the 60 days following your signup for the course and one of our interview coaches will respond directly to you. Even though you will complete the course in under 30 days, we offer unlimited email answers for 60 days, so that you will have a place to turn for help immediately after you complete the course and go for an interview. |
