Once you sign up for a coaching session, we will ask you for some information on your background. In particular, we will want a copy of your resume, information on your interview experience, your career goals, and your specific objectives for the coaching. With this information provided in advance of your coaching session, we can maximize the value out of the coaching time. We will customize each session to your specific needs, preparing custom instruction in advance.Positioning Statements: We review your primary positioning statement - the bottom line reason why you should be hired. The positioning statement is used throughout your interviewing. It is your elevator speech, and forms the foundation of the answer to the very common "Tell me about yourself" question and the answer to an entire range of questions, such as "Why should I hire you?"
Tell Me About Yourself: We will work with you to take your positioning statement, your key skills and accomplishments and develop an answer to the most common interview question.
STAR(L): The STAR(L) is a system for answering a wide variety of interview questions. We coach individuals on how this system works, how to write a STAR(L) answer and how to tailor the answers to fit almost any question.
Accomplishments: Our coaches are extremely good at identifying the significant accomplishments in a person's background. Some job seekers know they have been successful but draw a blank when they try to list their most significant accomplishments.
