Interview TypeStandard - The standard interview Palladian recommends for most people. This interview style incorporates Behavior Based questions with experience and skill based questions. Experienced Based - Reviews your experiences, typically in order of your resume. Example: "At ABC Company, how many people did you manage and what were your responsibilities?" Behavior Based - Situation based questions designed to solicit examples of your performance. Example: "Tell me about a time when you faced a difficult leadership challenge." Skill Based - Questions related to specific skills, often with technical questions designed to validate your skill level. Example: "What is your proficiency with Microsoft Excel" Creative/Aptitude - Questions designed to test your creative or problem solving abilities. Example: "If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?" |
Interview StyleStandard - The standard style Palladian recommends for most coaching sessions is a combination of Clinical and Confrontational, since this style is commonly used by employers usually the most difficult for candidates. Friendly - the interview fosters a dialogue and works to uncover the personality of the candidate. Clinical - the interviewer strives to remain emotionless in the interview in order to assess the candidate's skills and reduce the influence of personality. Confrontational - the interviewer strives to make the candidate uncomfortable, often by repeating the same or similar questions, doubting the candidate's answers, and focusing on the candidate's weaknesses. This style is designed to assess the candidate's ability to handle adversity and confrontation. |
